Don’t Throw out your favorite leatherjacket…let us repair it!
Through continued wear, leather becomes softer, more comfortable, and achieves that desirable “broken-in” look. Unfortunately, by the time the leather achieves that “broken-in” look, your jacket’s knit cuffs, waistband, and zipper are often “broken-down.”
Let us help you save your “old favorite” and give it many more years of useful wear, at a fraction of the cost of buying a new jacket.
We can sew on patches, replace broken zippers, missing hardware and stretched out cuffs, and repair torn linings and rips or holes in the leather. We can also completely condition the leather to restore its rich luster and safeguard it from the elements.
We also repair and restore leather pants, chaps, vests, handbags, lugggage, tack & harness, and gun and knife leather.
Leather Jacket Care Tips from Daub’s Cobbler Shop
- Before wearing your leather jacket, treat it with a suede or leather guard, like a Tarrago Nano Protectant. This is usually a spray on application and will help prevent the ingress of water, stains or grime. We have quality leather guard products in our Laconia store.
- When you’re not wearing your jacket, hang it on a well-shaped hanger as often as possible. Leather will stretch so avoid hanging on hooks or a coat rack where the stress on the leather is very localized.
